Welcome back to the Nalsie Ventures blog! After a brief hiatus due to some technical difficulties, we’re finally back! We’re still on this Turo journey and ready to share some new stories and insights. If this is your first time visiting, thanks for stopping by. And for those who have been here before, just know you’ll still be getting all the good, bad, and ugly aspects of being a Turo host. Over time we’ll be re-posting some of the older content that is still relevant, but as always we’re looking ahead and will keep you updated on everything happening currently.
Here’s a quick re-cap of the past 20 months:
- We started our Turo business in June 2022 with two Nissan Rogues
- We eventually scaled up to six cars (3 Rogues, 2 Sentras, and a Tesla Model 3)
- We’re currently at five cars
- Maintained Power Host status for over a year now
- Started blogging about our journey in July 2022, including:
- Getting started
- Researching and purchasing the right cars
- Getting insurance for your Turo fleet
- The delivery process
- Dealing with damaged cars
- The Turo claims process
- Tips for getting your cars booked quickly
- Using financing to scale your business
- What we would do differently if starting over
I’m really excited to finally be back to sharing our experiences and hopefully providing some helpful tips to anyone looking to get started or get better at carsharing. This is an interesting business but it can be challenging to navigate. We’re here to help! Feel free to ask us anything in the comments. Hope to see you here again soon!
